A bookmaker,
run by the book
Baqgybet is the online book of BAGGYBET PTY LTD, licensed in New South Wales and based in Narooma — a fishing town on the Sapphire Coast where everyone knows a good price when they see one.
Why we exist
Most betting sites shout. Flashing banners, mega everything, a wall of blinking markets designed to keep you tapping. We built Baqgybet for the other kind of punter — the one who reads the form on the ferry, has an opinion about the Storm’s left edge, and wants a fair price and a clean slip, not a fruit machine.
So the site is built around the head-to-head: two sides, one price each, everything else a tap deeper. Fourteen sports, three racing codes, and no noise between you and the market.
How we work
Every account is verified against identity documents before the first bet — not after the first withdrawal, when it suits the operator. Deposits are debit-only, as Australian law requires and good sense recommends. Deposit limits are offered to every new customer at sign-up, and self-exclusion tools sit one tap from every page footer.
Our licence — No. 6421/2022/WB, issued in New South Wales and regulated by Liquor & Gaming NSW — is the frame we operate in, not a fine-print footnote.
Two mates on the Narooma wharf agree that betting sites have forgotten who they’re for. A plan is sketched on the back of a bait receipt.
BAGGYBET PTY LTD is granted bookmaker licence 6421/2022/WB in New South Wales — the long way round, the proper way.
The book is built duel-first: head-to-head front and centre, deep markets behind it, responsible-gambling tools wired into the spine rather than bolted on.
Fourteen sports, three racing codes, and one promise kept daily: a fair price, a clean slip, and the kettle always on at 3 Tilba Street.
Sports integrity
We support clean sport. Baqgybet cooperates with Sport Integrity Australia, the racing controlling bodies and the integrity units of the leagues we price, including information-sharing arrangements about suspicious betting activity as required under our licence and race fields obligations.
Betting by participants on their own competitions is prohibited, and we monitor for it. Markets showing abnormal patterns may be suspended and reported. If you hold inside information about an event, using it to bet is an offence — and our systems are built to notice.
Concerns about the integrity of an event you’ve bet on with us? Contact us — reports are treated confidentially.
