How are bets settled?
Bets are settled on the official result declared by the sport’s governing body or the racing stewards, once it is final. Head-to-head markets pay the winner of the event; line and total markets settle on the final score including any extra time, unless the market says otherwise. Settlement usually lands within minutes of the official result, and settled funds are available immediately.
What happens if a match is abandoned or postponed?
If an event is postponed and rescheduled to start within 48 hours of its original time, bets stand. If it is abandoned or moved beyond that window, single bets are voided and refunded, and affected legs of a multi are treated as odds of 1.00 — the rest of the multi stands. The full rules for each sport are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
What is a palpable error?
A palpable error is an obviously wrong price — for example a market posted at 100 times its intended odds because of a data fault. Where one occurs, we may re-settle the bet at the price that was clearly intended, or void it and refund your stake, as our Terms allow. We log every such case and will always show you the working when you ask.
Are there limits on how much I can win or stake?
Yes. Maximum payout limits vary by competition; this is the current schedule (per customer, per event):
| Competition | Max payout |
|---|---|
| NRL, AFL — premiership matches | A$250,000 |
| Australian thoroughbred metropolitan racing | A$150,000 |
| Other Australian racing (country, harness, greyhounds) | A$50,000 |
| International tier-one sport (EPL, ATP/WTA, MLB, NHL, majors) | A$100,000 |
| All other sports and markets | A$25,000 |
The aggregate cap is A$250,000 per customer per 24 hours, as set out in our Terms & Conditions. If a stake would exceed a limit, the bet slip tells you before you place it — there are no surprises after the fact.
How do multis work?
A multi combines two or more selections into one bet; the odds multiply, and every leg has to win. You can’t combine two selections from the same event where one outcome affects the other. The bet slip shows the combined odds and the estimated return before you confirm anything.
How do I deposit?
Deposits are accepted by Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay (linked to a debit card), bank transfer and PayID. Card, wallet and PayID deposits usually appear instantly; a standard bank transfer can take one business day. There are no deposit fees from our side. Australian law prohibits credit cards for online wagering, so credit deposits are not available — and that’s a rule we think makes sense.
How do withdrawals work, and how long do they take?
Withdrawals go to a verified bank account held in your own name — no exceptions, as anti-money-laundering law requires. Requests are reviewed within 24 hours on business days, and once processed, funds typically land the same or next business day depending on your bank. Your first withdrawal may take slightly longer while we confirm your account details.
Why was my deposit declined?
The most common causes are a credit (not debit) card, a daily limit set on your account, or a bank that blocks gambling merchant codes by default. Check with your bank first; if the card is a debit card and the block persists, contact us and we’ll trace the transaction. Remember you can also deposit by PayID or bank transfer.
Can someone else deposit for me?
No. Deposits must come from a payment method in your own name — third-party payments breach both our Terms and AML/CTF law, and will be returned to source. The same applies to withdrawals: money only moves between your verified accounts and your Baqgybet balance.
How do you verify my identity?
Before your account opens and before your first bet, we verify your name, date of birth and residential address against Australian identity records, as the AML/CTF Act 2006 requires. Most checks complete electronically within minutes. If we can’t verify you automatically, we’ll ask for a photo of your driver licence or passport through the secure account area — never by email.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Use the reset password link on the login page. We’ll email you a secure, time-limited link to set a new one. If you no longer control the email on your account, contact us and we’ll re-verify your identity before making any change.
How do I close my account?
You can close your account at any time from the account area or by contacting us. Any balance is returned to your verified bank account. If you are closing because gambling has stopped being fun, consider a self-exclusion instead — it prevents you from simply re-opening later, and BetStop extends that to every Australian licensed operator.
Can I have more than one account?
No — one account per person, strictly. Duplicate accounts are closed and any bets on them may be voided under our Terms. If you’ve locked yourself out of your existing account, reset your password or contact us rather than opening a new one.
What are your support hours?
Our support desk answers email and the contact form from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM AEST, seven days a week. Responses typically arrive within a few hours. For gambling-harm support at any hour, Gambling Help Online is free and confidential 24/7 on 1800 858 858.
How do deposit limits work?
You can cap what you deposit per day, week or month. Setting or lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising or removing one only takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period, so a hot-headed moment can’t undo a good decision. We’ll offer you a limit when you sign up — taking it is smart, not soft. See Responsible Gambling for the full toolkit.
What is a time-out, and how is it different from self-exclusion?
A time-out locks your account for a short break — from 24 hours to 6 weeks — and lifts automatically when it ends. Self-exclusion is longer (from 3 months to permanent) and cannot be undone early, full stop. Both stop deposits and betting instantly. If you’re unsure which you need, start with the time-out; you can always extend.
What is BetStop?
BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register — is a free government service that blocks you from every Australian licensed wagering provider at once, including us, for a period you choose from 3 months to lifetime. Registration takes about 5 minutes online. While you’re registered we cannot open an account for you, take a bet from you, or send you anything.
