Responsible gambling
Betting should be entertainment paid for out of money you can afford to lose — never a way to make money, fix money problems, or feel better. This page is the toolkit that keeps it that way, and the exits if it stops being fun.
1. Our commitment
We would rather have a small, healthy customer for ten years than a big, hurting one for ten weeks. That principle shapes the product: pre-commitment offered before the first deposit, limits that tighten instantly but loosen slowly, no credit, no marketing pressure, and staff trained to act on signs of harm — including restricting or closing accounts where we believe gambling is causing damage.
2. 18+ only, verified — not asked
Gambling under 18 is illegal and we don't rely on an honesty box. Every customer's age and identity are verified against identity documents before the account opens and before the first bet. If you share a device with young people, parental-control tools such as Qustodio or Net Nanny can block gambling sites entirely.
3. Deposit limits (pre-commitment)
Cap what you can deposit per day, week or month. Every new customer is offered a limit during sign-up — before the first deposit, which is exactly when the clear-headed decision happens. Setting or lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising or removing one takes effect only after a 7-day cooling-off period. Set yours in the account area, at registration, or by asking us — we'll never talk you out of it.
4. Reality checks and time-outs
Reality checks: optional on-screen reminders showing how long you've been logged in and your session's net position, at intervals you choose (15, 30 or 60 minutes). Time-outs: a short lock on your account — 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 14 days or 6 weeks — that starts instantly and cannot be lifted early. Deposits and betting stop; withdrawals of your balance still work.
5. Activity statements
A monthly statement of deposits, withdrawals, bets and net result is available in the account area and emailed on request — real numbers beat gut feel, and reviewing them monthly is one of the simplest harm-prevention habits there is.
6. Account closure and self-exclusion with us
You can close your account permanently at any time, with your balance returned to your verified bank account. Self-exclusion goes further: choose 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanent, and the exclusion cannot be undone or shortened once set. While excluded you cannot log in, bet or deposit, we send you nothing, and win-back contact is banned — if you ever receive marketing from us while excluded, report it and we will treat it as a serious incident.
7. BetStop — one register, every operator
BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register is the free national register: one registration blocks you from every Australian licensed wagering service at once, for 3 months to lifetime. While you are registered: we cannot open an account for you; any existing account is suspended and your balance returned; we cannot accept a bet from you; and all marketing stops. Registering takes about five minutes at betstop.gov.au.
8. Indicators of harm — an honest checklist
- Betting more than you planned, or "chasing" losses with bigger bets.
- Gambling with money needed for rent, bills, food or debts.
- Hiding betting from family or friends, or lying about wins and losses.
- Borrowing to bet, or selling things to fund it.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low when not gambling — or after it.
- Gambling to escape stress, boredom or sadness.
- Work, study or relationships suffering because of betting.
Two or more of these deserve action, not shame: a lower limit, a time-out, or a conversation with Gambling Help Online. The free, anonymous self-assessment at gamblinghelponline.org.au takes five minutes.
9. Financial controls
We accept no credit cards, as Australian law requires — you bet with money you have, not money you've borrowed. Deposits must come from accounts in your own name. Most Australian banks also offer free gambling blocks on their cards, activated in the banking app; the National Debt Helpline (1800 007 007) gives free advice if gambling debts are already biting.
10. Support services — free, confidential, 24/7
- Gambling Help Online — 1800 858 858 · gamblinghelponline.org.au — phone and chat counselling, any hour, any day.
- GambleAware NSW — gambleaware.nsw.gov.au — local face-to-face counselling across New South Wales.
- Lifeline — 13 11 14 — crisis support if things feel unbearable.
- National Debt Helpline — 1800 007 007 — free financial counselling.
11. Our responsible gambling contact
